Design and support all network, security and load balancing architectures in our corporate, disaster recovery, Quality Assurance, and development environments. Setup and administer corporate wireless LAN. Seemlessly rolled out Cisco 802.11b/g wireless network and provide on going support for wireless users. Implementated EIGRP as a standard internal routing protocol within the entire company for fault tolerant routing of internal traffic. Architected and engineered the World's first content delivery network (CDN) for dynamic http and https content. Designed and implemented a globally load balanced network of reverse proxy/cache servers in 48 points of presence (POPs) worldwide. Designed and co-designed the network topology and global connectivity architecture of the network. Performed research, evaluation and testing of vendor network equipment as well as server hardware equipment to determine the appropriate devices needed to comprise the network. Soley responsible for determining the scalability and capacity of layer 4 load balancing devices and solving these issues to enable continued growth of the network. Set up pre-production testing environments for the staging of new network equipment and software. Performed research and testing of new hardware and software to improve the performance and scalability of the existing network. Used EtherPeek network sniffer to troubleshoot complex problems and ensure proper traffic flows. Worked with in-house software engineering teams to create prototypes of our own patented and patent pending global load balancing technology and dynamic content caching services using Linux and GPL open source applications. Setup IPSec VPN tunnels from Cisco to Cisco and Cisco to Linux for solving secure backend connectivity issues.
